Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a medical treatment for diagnosed hypogonadism (low testosterone). It is not a lifestyle drug. Eligibility is determined by AHPRA-registered doctors based on strict clinical criteria, including blood levels, medical history, and safety screenings.
How It Works for Coast Residents
A simple process designed to fit around family life and commuting.
Book Your Telehealth Consult
Schedule your initial consultation online. Appointments are available throughout the day, making it easier to find a slot that fits around shift work or the Sydney commute.
Complete Blood Work
We provide a referral form accepted at major pathology centers (Douglass Hanly Moir, Laverty, 4Cyte) across the Central Coast. Visit a center near home before 10 AM.
Doctor Review & Plan
Your doctor reviews your results and discusses them with you via video. We screen for co-factors like sleep apnea to ensure treatment is safe for you.
Delivery & Ongoing Care
Prescriptions are sent to our partner pharmacy and medication is expressed delivered to your door. Ongoing monitoring is managed digitally with local pathology.
Tailored for the Central Coast Lifestyle
Specific guidance for commuters and local residents.
🚆 The Commuter Reality
Balancing health with the long commute to Sydney or Newcastle is tough. Here is how to make it work:
- Bloods: Visit pathology at 7:00 AM near the station (e.g., Gosford, Woy Woy, Wyong) before jumping on the train.
- Consults: Book a telehealth slot on your WFH day, or take the call from your car/quiet space during a break. No travel time needed.
⚓ Stay Local, Get Specialist Care
Historically, seeing a specialist meant a referral and a day trip to Sydney CBD or North Shore.
With our telehealth model, you access the same level of AHPRA-registered medical care from your living room. Your location on the Coast is no longer a barrier to expert hormonal health assessment.
💤 Sleep & Metabolic Health
We take a holistic view. Extra weight and sleep issues (like Sleep Apnea) are common concerns we screen for.
Why this matters: TRT can sometimes worsen untreated sleep apnea. If you snore heavily or feel tired despite sleeping, tell our doctors. We ensure treatment plans are safe and may guide you on managing these factors alongside therapy.
Getting Your Blood Tests on the Coast
Pathology access is simple, whether you’re in Erina, Tuggerah, or the Peninsula.

- Results sent directly to you via email
Option 2: Get Referral During Consult
Prefer to speak to a doctor first? Book a consultation. Our doctor will assess your history and email you a pathology request form if testing is appropriate.
- Discuss symptoms and history first
- Targeted testing based on medical need
- Referral form emailed instantly
📋 Blood Test Guidelines
Testosterone levels are highest in the morning. You must have your blood drawn between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Late tests may be rejected.
Do not eat breakfast before your blood test. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated (makes the draw easier), but avoid food and coffee.
Have recent bloods from your GP (last 3 months)? If they include Total Testosterone, we can often use them. Upload them when booking.
Monitoring & Patient Safety
Responsible medical care requires ongoing supervision.
We prioritize safety. TRT is a medical therapy that requires respect and monitoring. Our Central Coast patients remain under the care of our medical team with a structured protocol to manage health markers.
Tracking haematocrit, PSA, liver function, and lipids.
Scheduled follow-ups to adjust dosage and discuss well-being.
Proactive management of side effects like high hematocrit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from our Central Coast patients.
Can I do everything locally on the Coast?
Yes. You do not need to travel to Sydney. Consultations are via video. Blood tests can be done at any major pathology center on the Central Coast (Erina, Gosford, Wyong, etc.). Medication is delivered to your door via express post. The entire process is handled remotely and locally.
What if I suspect I have sleep apnea?
Sleep apnea is common and often co-exists with low testosterone (especially if carrying extra weight). It is crucial to mention this during your consultation. TRT can worsen untreated sleep apnea. If suspected, our doctors may recommend a sleep study or ensure your CPAP therapy is optimized before or during TRT to ensure your safety.
What do you do if hematocrit is high?
High hematocrit (thickening of the blood) is a known side effect of TRT. We monitor this strictly via blood tests. If levels rise too high, we may adjust your dosage, or recommend therapeutic blood donation (phlebotomy) to lower it. This is a standard part of our safety protocol.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you do not need a referral from your regular GP to book a consultation with our doctors. We are a direct-access specialist service designed to make assessment accessible.
How quickly can I get started?
Once your blood work is completed (usually takes 2-4 business days for results), we book your review consultation. If treatment is prescribed, medication is typically dispatched within 24-48 hours.
What is the cost of the consultation?
Our initial comprehensive medical consultation fee is transparently priced. Please visit our pricing page for current fees and monitoring package costs.
